Hi all, this is my personal webpage! I’m currently a Ph.D. student in the Cognitive Science and Informatics (HCI) dual degree program at Indiana University, Bloomington. I study how audiences shape the ways people remember and reflect on their autobiographical experiences, with a specific focus on how digital audiences (conversational AI agents or anonymous social media users) influence these processes. I am currently working with Dr. Fritz Breithaupt on investigating cognitive mechanisms behind remembering and reflection, and working with Dr. Erik Stolterman Bergqvist and Dr. Colin Gray to understand the current technologies’ influences on human relationships and well-being.

I earned my Cognitive Psychology MSc degree at Sabanci University. I have been working with Dr. Cagla Aydin at the CLAM Lab. And I have been a former member of Varol Lab under the supervision of Dr. Onur Varol.

I received my BSc in psychology from Middle East Technical University. During my undergraduate years, I contributed to several projects at METU Child and Adolescent Development Lab, PI: Dr. Basak Sahin-Acar, METU Life Span Development Laboratory, PI: Dr. Emre Selcuk. I completed my internship at the Center on Autobiographical Memory Research, CON AMORE under the supervision of Dr. Annette Bohn and Dr. Muge Ozbek Akcay.

I also write weekly diaries throughout my PhD, you can access it here!

I am currently on job market, please see my research talk information here!
